This is advanced notice of an exciting opportunity for students who will be enrolling in either MDA30006 – Media and Communication Project A or MDA30007 – Media and Communication Project B in 2018.
Our partner university in the UK Birmingham City University is running an International Summer School program in Data Journalism. This three week intensive course with introduce you to data journalism and a range of cutting edge newsgathering and storytelling techniques. The intensive course will run for three weeks from the 23 July – 10 August 2018 (yes there will be overlap with the first two weeks of 2nd semester). There is a fee involved for taking the course (in addition to airfares) which will cover the course, accommodation for the three weeks, Birmingham Airport pickup and drop off, breakfast and lunch vouchers and cultural visits on the weekends.
The good news is your fees can be covered by an Overseas FEE HELP loan. So if you’re thinking of travelling around Europe during the semester break in June/July, the could be a great opportunity to do some study as well during a UK summer!
If you’re interested in this opportunity, you can send an expression of interest to Peter Marcato (firstname.lastname@example.org) throughout the break for more information and information will be delivered in the MDA30006 information session in week one in February.
