POSTGRADUATE STUDIES BY COURSEWORK
The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Arts (Media and Communications) at Swinburne provides advanced production and theoretical practice skills that graduates need to work in a dynamic media industry. With a focus on creative content production for the social and mobile media age, students will broaden their understanding of the media through both creative practice and critical engagements with the key ideas and thinkers that have shaped media studies.
Students focus on creative content production that will enable them to produce a portfolio of media work. A range of units also introduce students to key critical, theoretical and practical frameworks in Media Studies. In elective units, students are given the opportunity to select units from web, text, audio and video content production specialisations in a way that reflects their interests and enhances their potential future employment in their chosen field
