Anne Morton

Anne Morton has been teaching at Swinburne for over a decade and her experience comprises various units in the complementary disciplines of Marketing and Advertising across all delivery modes – face-to-face, online and blended.    She has completed a Grad Cert in Teaching and Learning, and is undertaking a Masters by Research exploring the effect of cigarette plain packaging on brand image.

Anne completed a BA whilst working in marketing communication roles at the National Australia Bank gaining experience in advertising and direct marketing for both consumer and business markets.  Her early career was in the Advertising industry working as a media planner and buyer in Australia and the UK.  She has travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa and recently added the USA to this list.

Anne is the current convenor of ADV20002 Creative Concepts and Copywriting and ADV30001 Media Planning and Purchasing. In ADV20002 students look at sourcing and developing key ideas for advertising purposes and how to use language and images effectively for different communication channels in order to convey brand attributes. ADV30001 looks at how media strategies are developed using both traditional and emerging media and different media are purchased and assessed for the purpose of promotion and advertising.
